Oskar Schlemmer Print Fabric

The holistic learning approach of the Bauhaus is something with which we feel a distinct kinship.

In the same way one might learn to master their instrument by practicing the songs of their favourite musicians, this test fabric culls dynamic graphics and symbols from the Okar Schlemmer sketch book to anchor this exploration into some basic principles of seamless repeating print-making.

Around the time of this project, our sewing time was dedicated to creating scrubs for frontline NHS workers in the height of the COVID pandemic so this fabric sadly has yet to be manipulated into a garment.
