Specialized Pierre Frey
Here's a design for a customer who was happy to give carte blanche on their project. Any maker knows that this is the best type of customer!
Went a little bit overboard with the level of complexity weighed against the cost of the project but this was one we were willing to put the extra work into because we really wanted to see it come into existence!
The illustrations are culled from a 1930s French luxury wallpaper print from La Maison Pierre Frey. Emulated in digital formats for CNC stencils and then meticulously airbrushed over the space of a few weeks. The end result is some strange and unusual contorting organic forms overtaking the surface of the bike.
